Meet Our Trainer

Head Trainer and Founder

Sparky Davis

From a super young age, it was clear that dogs were Sparky’s passion in life. He lived and breathed everything dog and went through phases as a kid obsessed with a certain breeds of dog, dog sports, working dog fields, etc. This was with zero influence from parents or relatives, no one in Sparky‘s family did anything with dogs professionally or in sport, one could say Sparky was born with the gift.

Ever since Sparky was nine years old, when he finally convinced his parents to allow him to have a German Shepherd, he has been training dogs in high caliber obedience. He competed in the sport of IGP/Schutzhund, winning awards for highest scores at club trials at the age of 12, and was the youngest competitor in the sport in Washington State. The majority of people training alongside of him were in retirement ages, yet often learning from Sparky. From day one, Sparky has taken dog training very seriously, it had always been more than a hobby. It was at that young age that he and everyone else knew that training dogs was going to be a lifelong pursuit for him.

Sparky grew up working with dogs, and later graduated from The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers Longterm Immersion Program. Getting to study under one of the best dog trainers in the world was life changing, and was a huge step in making dog training his lifestyle. Michael Ellis’s program gave Sparky the opportunity to meet so many like-minded, gifted trainers like him that he continues to work with to this day.

Sparky is a passionate and dedicated Mondioring competitor who is thrilled to share his journey with others. Mondioring is widely recognized as one of the most challenging dog sports globally, combining elements of obedience, protection, and agility. It requires an unparalleled bond between the handler and the dog, and Sparky is proud to say that his partner, Archie, and he have mastered this art.

In 2024, they achieved a historic milestone in the world of Mondioring by clinching 1st place at the USMRA National Championship in Category 2. This victory was just the beginning of their success story, as they also triumphed at the 2024 FCI World Championship held in Greece, where they secured 1st place in Category 2 once again. This achievement is particularly significant, as no other American competitor has ever taken first place at a Mondioring World Championship until Sparky’s win.

Sparky’s journey in Mondioring has been filled with hard work, determination, and a deep love for the sport. He believes that the key to success lies not only in training but also in nurturing a strong, trusting relationship with one’s canine partner. Through his experiences, he has gained valuable insights that he is eager to share with others who are passionate about dog training.
